Welcome to Healing Heart Yoga

Yoga postures are called asanas in Sanskrit which literally means “to stay or to sit.” In class we will explore your comfort level as you hold the postures. We will begin from that vantage point using specific instruction for safe alignment and working deeper. Props are available for support as needed. Along the way you will challenge yourself, building strength and gaining flexibility … enhancing your health and life from the inside-out.

In Yoga philosophy, the subtle energy body is closely linked with breath. We will practice breathing exercises called Pranayama and use techniques of guided imagery to invoke relaxation and let go of the deep seated stresses inherent to modern life. This will enable you to be an active participant in maintaining your health and recovering from health challenges.
